I am just going to post my thank you to Tanda Tula, with their beautiful response. This game lodge in South Africa, Timbavati, which leads to Kruger and Sabi Sands, is outstanding.

Scotch and Hirmit, THANK YOU. I am not sure, in my thirty plus years of visiting different game lodges, if I have ever had a team so engaging, interesting, professional, brilliant and relaxed. Scotch made such an impression on us, in every way. Knowledgeable and magical! His relationship with the animals, or knowing the animals so well, was mind blowing. He is an intriguing guide and made our safaris, and time between safaris, just beautiful. Hirmit too, a perfect team.
And the lodge - as we walked in we could not help but go, oh my gosh. The architecture, design, art, every lamp shade, rug, book, so beautifully curated. An incredible place. Our two bedroomed suite was exquisite, especially because by day four of being together for 24 hours a day (mother and son) we so needed some time out. Just gorgeous and I think Tanda Tula has to be up there as one of the best game lodges in South Africa.
Food - perfect. I loved the one afternoon กฎjelly tot tea', the most sophisticated lodge and yet also playful! A clever, creative touch. Each meal was divine with an excellent choice, fine dining, glamorous but also, not too much.
Service - perfect from everyone. Friendly, professional, engaging, interesting, an excellent balance of friendliness / belonging / respect.
I think the word that stands out for me, between visitors and staff and management, would be respect. It is clear that staff are doing what they do because they love it, Tanda Tula does feel like a beautiful family, and while superbly slick it is also superbly relaxed.

It was the utmost of pleasures, always!
TANDA TULA in the Timbavati Game Reserve (closess airport Hoedspruit but you can also fly into Nelspruit or Skukuza and we can arrange an air or road transfer) is terrific. Go for three nights, book with me, Thandeka Africa, SAVOUR every exquisite moment. The architecture is magnificent. The staff are friendly, professional, wise, knowledgeable, curious, interesting. Empowered. And I have not even mentioned the game. I loved the mongoose playing in our outdoor shower, the elephant hanging out at the waterhole, the pride of lion who Scotch knew exactly when to visit, playtime. Scotch's incredible knowledge of birds (he has been featured in National Geographic but I am not giving away any secrets), is superb, even if you are not into birding, and the hyena pups peeping out their den were perfect. More than anything, the overall atmosphere, luxury, African bush, Tanda Tula is outstanding. You will leave here, smiling and satisfied.
