Cape Town is beautiful and you may want a few days with a private driver /guide to explore the Cape Peninsula, take the ferry to Robben Island, enjoy a walk up Lion’s Head, visit Cape Point and the meeting point of the two oceans, walk the Sea Point promenade, explore the Bo Kaap or visit Langa. We’ll book your luxury hotel or guesthouse, arrange your sightseeing and make your restaurant reservations too.

The Cape Winelands of Franschoek and Stellenbosch are magnificent, a night, or two, or a full day private tour. Incredible hotels, amazing vineyards, divine food and wine tastings, mountains, valleys and views to die for.

No trip to South African is complete without visiting the Kruger National Park and Sabi Sands Game Reserve. If you want the Big Five, beautiful birds and all the smaller game, take a few nights in a private lodge, or let us split your stay between a luxury lodge and a gorgeous tented camp. We know the beautiful places where it is never crowded, where sunrises and sunsets are exquisite, where the rangers and trackers are interesting and amazing. Eat fabulous food, watch elephant amble by your suite or even have a leopard sleeping on your roof. I’ll give you all the options.

 

If you have time, include the Garden Route, travelling between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.  Whales, dolphins, sea, sand, oysters, mountains, hiking, gorgeous boutique hotels, good wine...

I love Johannesburg, a vibrant city, filled with art, history and culture.  Take a tour to Soweto, visit the Apartheid Museum, spend time in the galleries and museums, hang out at weekend markets and walk the Melville Koppies.  See Johannesburg safely, meet locals and really get into the city.  It’s home and we will look after you all the way.

 

ZIMBABWE

 

Zimbabwe is magnificent.  The Zambezi River is magical, the Victoria Falls quite astonishing, and some of the best wildlife is found in Hwange, Kariba and Mana Pools.

If you’re travelling to South Africa, let me arrange a few nights at the Vic Falls for you.

And if you want a remote, unspoiled, wild and divine safari, Zimbabwe is remote, unspoiled, welcoming and the elephant are incredible! The country is breathtaking.

You could cross the border and visit Chobe, and the Okavango too.

BOTSWANA

There are a few different ways to visit Botswana but the best way is a fly-in-safari to include the Okavango, Moremi and or Savute and then Chobe. There are many luxury lodges to choose from and we know all the good ones.  Botswana is unrivalled for wildlife, it is remote, the  waters of the Okavango are crystal clear and the lodges are spectacular. We can arrange Botswana on its own, with a side trip to Victoria Falls, or, we think you should include Cape Town too.

​RWANDA / UGANDA

Seeing the gorillas is a once in a lifetime experience. I know this because I have done it and it was hard, wild, brilliant and the best thing I have ever done. There are different ways to do this  and I will give you the options. Combine the gorilla trip with a safari to Kenya or Tanzania, private and designed by Thandeka Africa.

NAMIBIA

You need time to visit Namibia, the country is vast. The thing we sell the most often is an extension to Sossusvlei but we can arrange a self drive to Etosha, the Skeleton Coast and Damaraland.

KENYA / TANZANIA

 

Kenya is about safari and beach. Tanzania is about safari and possibly, Kilimanjaro. The best way is a private mobile safari or a fly in safari.  The best time - over the migration, definitely, if you are travelling all the way, you want to see animals in their thousands. Let's chat!
